Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Asheboro, NC. You will operate CNC and other automation, set up equipment, and follow blueprints to produce precision parts. The role requires basic programming skills and the ability to read gauges to ensure quality.

The position emphasizes efficiency, safety, and teamwork on a 6PM–6AM rotating shift, with a $1000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided to maintain Kennametal’s high standards of manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in machine operation.
• High School Degree is required.
• Technical school certification or Apprenticeship preferred.
• Manufacturing experience with CNC/automated work is expected (1-3 years).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC or other automated production equipment.
• Set up machines including feeds, speeds, and tooling per procedures.
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions with precision gauges.
• Ensure quality by inspecting parts and addressing nonconformities.
• May perform basic level programming and adjust cutters and speeds.
