Saint-Gobain Omniseal Solutions in Bristol, RI, is seeking a CNC Machinist II for first shift to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes in a high-mix, low-volume environment. The role requires 5+ years CNC machining, live tooling experience, and strong knowledge of G-code, with emphasis on first-article inspections and precise measurement using micrometers, calipers, and optical inspection systems.

Base pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience for mills and lathes.
• 3+ years setting up multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, or grinding equipment.
• 2+ years in high-mix, low-volume production environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Read work orders to understand customer specifications and maintain drawing specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes per production schedules and work orders with little or no supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Load and adjust tools, set tool offsets, and verify tool paths using simulation or dry runs.
• Install and align fixtures, vices, and stock materials accurately.
• Perform first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments to meet tolerances.
• Troubleshoot setup issues related to tooling, programming, or machine parameters and collaborate to improve setup times and part quality.
• Maintain accurate records of setups, tooling requirements, and part specifications.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
