Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist II for the 2nd shift (weekends, 6pm-6:30am) to produce machined parts to close tolerances. You will set up and operate CNC machines, read engineering drawings, measure parts, and maintain OOQ quality while following GMP/GDP practices.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred tooling & machining credentials. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals.
• Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and using measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Achieve productivity targets and identify improvements.
• Record all activities on the job tracking system.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues with Team Leader.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards.
