Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States is hiring a CNC machinist for an onsite 2nd shift role in Carroll, IA. You will program, assemble, and operate CNC and manual machines, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and prepare parts for production.

Requires HS diploma or equivalent and 6 years’ relevant experience; certification in core discipline. Training during the first 2–3 months runs 7:00–3:30, with the regular shift 3:30–12:00. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or vocational/technical education with at least 6 years relevant experience.
• Certification in core discipline within 4–5 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Program, assemble, and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Interpret blueprints, orders, engineering plans, specs, and GD&T tolerances.
• Fabricate and repair metal parts into sub-units or complete units.
• Takes material measurements and selects appropriate machines.
• Perform machining setups and adjustments; conduct inspections.
• Maintain SPC charts and quality/safety records.
