Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a skilled CNC Machinist in Carroll, IA for 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 10pm–6am; training 6am–2pm). You will program, set up, and operate CNC or manual machines to produce high-precision aerospace components, interpreting GD&T and blueprints, and performing quality inspections to ensure strict tolerances.

The role requires a strong background in machining, tool handling, and quality standards, with opportunities for overtime and advancement within a leading aerospace company.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent, plus 6 years of relevant experience.
• Certification in core discipline with 4–5 months of employment.
• Certification on multiple programs labeled as moderate to difficult.

Responsibilities

• Program, assemble, and operate CNC or manual machines to produce parts.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering plans, GD&T, and specifications.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or units.
• Take material measurements and select appropriate machines.
• Perform machining setups and adjustments as required.
• Conduct inspections and maintain quality/safety records.
