Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated in Baldwin Park, CA is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate mills and lathes on the 2nd shift, producing precision parts per blueprints and drawings. You will read plans, set up machines, and work with engineering to refine tooling and processes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of CNC lathe experience, a 2-year machining program and strong attention to detail. This full-time role offers a $2 shift differential on 2nd shift and requires local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read engineering blueprints and planning.
• A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required.
• Must be well organized, works well with others and flexible.
• Broad skill set who is not afraid to tackle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of tooling speeds and feeds offsets and minor program changes.
• Ability to prove out programs.
• Setup, program, and operate two CNC Lathes (Okuma).
• Perform tool adjustment as required.
• Work with Engineering to make tooling.
• Able to use inspections tool to inspect parts.

Responsibilities

• Performs simple setups and operates a variety of machines to produce parts per instructions and drawings.
• Maintains and performs minor routine maintenance to machines.
• Evaluates parts by measuring with appropriate instruments.
• Documents information per work instructions and reports discrepancies.
• Maintains a safe work environment and PPE usage.
• Supports area organization and continuous improvement mindset.
• Adheres to company policies and promotes a positive work culture.
