Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a CNC Machine Operator II for the Alsip, IL facility. The role requires reading blueprints, holding tight tolerances, and applying strong mechanical aptitude in a lean manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will perform set up, operation, and minor maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues, and participate in continuous improvement activities. Shift is Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC maintenance experience.
• 3+ years navigating CNC controls (OSP, Fanuc, Haas).
• 3+ years troubleshooting/repairing and training others on turret alignment, spindle/motor replacements, and other machine components rebuilds.
• 3+ years repairing and installing various voltages for CNC equipment.
• 3+ years designing and implementing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• 3+ years experience identifying, developing and performing daily/weekly/monthly/semianual and annual maintenance on CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Work machine setup, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including tool selection and presetting for next job.
• Update and maintain visual controls and create/support countermeasures in a safe environment.
• Participate in SMED, Kaizen events, and 5 Whys problem-solving exercises.
• Resolve and/or report equipment abnormalities.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand/walk for long periods in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and chemicals.
