Job summary

Chicago Fittings Corp. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate CNC lathes (including Haas dual spindle) and perform light maintenance in our Chicago production facility.

You will handle data entry for production tracking and contribute to precision machining, inspection, and packaging of parts. Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of CNC machining experience, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of CNC machining experience with responsibility for inspecting their product.
• Ability to read blueprints/part prints and use precision measuring tools.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers and gauges, plus visual inspection.
• Familiarity with general quality systems and machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and Haas dual spindle, with light maintenance of machines.
• Collect and enter production tracking data into company computers.
• Machining, precision machining, and inspection of products.
• Packaging and cleaning/de-burring of parts; troubleshoot machining problems.
• Program editing and operation of forklift; maintain a clean, safe workspace.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

3-6 years of experience in CNC Machining as per noted job functions and qualifications with responsibility for inspecting their product; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, solve simple equations and calculate percentages. Ability to convert fractions in increments of 1/16 and convert to decimal number.
