Job summary

A manufacturing company in Chicago is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate CNC machines and perform precision tasks. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in CNC machining, be adept at program editing, and possess strong inspection practices. You will be responsible for maintaining safe and organized workspaces, operating forklifts, and ensuring product quality. Responsibilities

  • Operation of CNC Lathe.
  • Operate Haas dual spindle efficiently.
  • Light maintenance of CNC machines.
  • Collection and data entry of production tracking.
  • Machining and Precision Machining.
  • Inspection of products.
  • Cleaning/De-burring of products.
  • Troubleshoot machining problems.
  • Operation of forklift.

  • Operation of CNC Lathe.

  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring tools.
  • Visual inspection.
Language Skills
  • Comprehend, communicate, follow, and instruct oral and written instructions.
Education and/or Experience

3-6 years of experience in CNC Machining as per noted job functions and qualifications with responsibility for inspecting their product; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, solve simple equations and calculate percentages. Ability to convert fractions in increments of 1/16 and convert to decimal number.
