Job Overview:
The main role of the CNC machinist is to make machine parts by using precision computer equipment. CNC machinists makes set up, adjust, and maintain the best-in-class nature of the equipment to enhance their routine job activities. CNC machinists review the programs and edit as needed to produce quality parts according to the drawings using CNC lathes and mills.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, run and monitor computer-numeric-controlled machines.
• Ensure machines are operating correctly and pieces are cut to perfection.
• Review the first article parts against drawings or CAD models.
• Make CNC programs modification as needed. Deburr parts using hand tools.
• Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of tooling and fixtures. Regularly clean and maintain machinery and equipment as needed.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously. Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
• Ability to work overtime (OT)
Requirements:
• At least 5+ (five) or more years of experience operating CNC Machines (ex: Haas, Mazak)
• At least 3+ (three) or more years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• At least 1+ (one) or more years of experience operating a computer along with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to repeatedly bend, lift and install parts of various sizes in allotted time frame
• Ability to handle and manipulate tooling and machinery as required
• Ability to add, subtract and divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals

Preferences:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Bi-lingual is a plus
• Experience operating both mills and lathes
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
• This position will be based 100% onsite at our Burbank, California location
Starting Pay will range between $30.00 - $34.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
This position is eligible for the LIP (Local Incentive Plan) of up to 4%. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Ingersoll Rand, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation, decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
