SUMMARY

The CNC Machinist II is responsible for machining products to meet customer specifications. This includes operating machining centers, setting up medium to complex jobs by selecting and installing tooling, updating fixturing, and pulling CNC Lathe programs. Experience with Citizen Swiss L-20 equipment is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform medium complexity machine setups and control operations
  • Load and run parts according to manufacturing plans or specifications
  • Monitor tooling wear and change tools as needed
  • Inspect parts using mechanical gauges
  • Perform setups on production parts, ensuring quality standards
  • Change tools and offsets during setups to pass internal first article inspections
  • Follow shop paper procedures, including documentation and labeling
  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T call outs accurately
  • Meet job time standards and communicate any deviations
  • Deburr work in process
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives
  • Complete operations in sequence as per work orders

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Four years of experience in production or job shop environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing scheduling and control systems like Epicor is a plus
  • Expertise in four and five-axis machining
  • Experience with Citizen Swiss L-20 equipment setup and operation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Near visual acuity for reading gauges and blueprints
  • Ability to monitor machine sounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and bending
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • High noise levels
  • Physical hazards from machinery
