TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce precision parts at our Newtonville, MA facility. You will operate CNC machines, follow engineering drawings, and maintain equipment and records in a safe, compliant environment.

The role emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and teamwork, with adherence to GMP/GDP practices and effective communication with supervisors and peers. This position requires attention to detail and strong mathematical skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Production environment experience preferred (ED).
• Associate degree or machinist apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets for wear.
• Ensure product quality by OOQ standards and inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
