Job summary

TECOMET in Medford, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce machined parts by operating CNC equipment, following engineering drawings and work instructions. You will maintain quality, safety, and records while supporting continuous improvement and on-time production runs.

The role requires basic math and measurement skills, ability to follow procedures, and effective teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior production experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D) preferred.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets as needed for wear.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily PM schedule.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Support continuous improvement and resolve manufacturing issues with team.
