Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I in Malden, MA to produce machined parts by operating CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping detailed records. The role emphasizes adherence to Tecomet's continuous improvement mindset and lean manufacturing practices.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with production experience. Associate degree or machinist apprenticeship is preferred. Strong math, planning, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a production environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by working to OOQ standards and using inspection equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing as needed to meet specifications.
• Follow GMP/GDP practices and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
• Achieve productivity targets and identify ways to improve efficiency.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system in a timely manner.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Team Leader/Supervisor to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
