Leupold & Stevens, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a CNC Machinist 1 to support the manufacture and finishing of parts on lathes and turning centers. This role requires intermediate setup skills and the ability to read blueprints, measure parts, and maintain tooling and lubricants.

You will operate various production centers, perform basic setups, inspect parts for conformance, and assist in training coworkers. The position offers evening shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years machining experience.
• Intermediate blueprint reading and measurement gauge skills.
• Basic math computation skills.
• Ability to understand geometric concepts for tool setup and adjustments.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates production centers, loads material, and maintains lubricants and coolants as required.
• Performs basic set ups on machines such as manual lathes and CNC turning centers.
• Sets up on various secondary operation machines (drill presses, etc.).
• Inspects articles to verify conformance to specifications.
• Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintains department paperwork and data input requirements.
• Trains coworkers and may lead temporarily.
