Qualifications

• Seven years of various Production Machinist, troubleshooting and operational experience required.
• Minimum of five years of INDEX Turning Center experience preferred.
• Must be able to interpret and apply GDT.
• Must have ability to perform advanced shop math.
• Must have ability to effectively communicate written and verbal technical terms in English.
• Familiarity with computer and Microsoft based software systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and sets-up established or rework parts on CNC turning centers and related machines.
• Performs SPC and maintains process to within target using applicable software/hardware.
• Performs 1st Articles with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT).
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and reports unsafe conditions.
• Trains operators and oversees operator's work product.
• Performs preventive maintenance and TPM as directed.
• May train coworkers to setup, inspect, and adhere to procedures.
• Completes department paperwork and data entry (BCD, time logs, system transactions).
• Notifies supervision of unassigned machines and seeks additional work.
