General Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (3, 4, or 5-axis).
• Operate manual machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
• Perform basic assembly and repair of parts.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, specifications, and NC programs.
• Verify workpiece conformance using measuring instruments.
• Produce parts within quality and cost standards.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic machining practices and metal properties knowledge.
• Familiarity with manual machine tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code, conversational).
• Proficiency with measuring instruments.

Education and Experience

• Technical degree or related experience preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years machining experience; CNC experience a plus.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle materials.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance may be required.
