Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions seeks a CNC Machinist II to contribute to the production of medical devices by operating and setting up 3 and 4 axis CNC machines with minimal supervision. The role involves handling multiple machines such as Lathes, EDM Wire, Plunge, and CMM while ensuring accuracy of X, Y, Z coordinates.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment, with lean manufacturing and medical device manufacturing exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Or Equivalent preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Performs set up of 3 & 4 Axis CNC machines.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes offsets and adjustments to machines with minimal supervision.
• Adheres to Quality Management Systems (QMS) procedures and forms.

He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, EDM Wire, Plunge, and CMM machines in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with minimal or no supervision.
