Job summary

SSK Firearms in Quakertown, PA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to own the machining process from setup through inspection and packaging. You will develop tool lists, set up machines, run first articles, and push for cycle-time improvements in a precision environment.

You must read complex drawings and tolerances, create inspection plans and First Article reports, and maintain documentation while working closely with Engineering and Supervisors to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience creating inspection plans and First Article reports.
• Strong understanding of tooling, gaging and fixturing.
• Ability to work independently in a small-team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop tool and gauge lists and order required items.
• Set up machines and run first pieces.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports and coordinate verification.
• Run production and improve cycle time and process efficiency.
• Perform in-process inspections and complete labor transactions.
• Identify, document and control non-conforming material per work instructions.
• Perform secondary operations including cleaning, tumbling, and deburring.
• Package finished parts and prepare them for shipment.
• Maintain close communication with Engineering and Supervision.
