Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks an experienced CNC machinist to set up, adjust and operate NC/CNC lathes and machining centers to meet tight tolerances and finish requirements.

You will read routings, process sheets and blueprints, and use precision instruments to inspect work. You may assist in establishing program requirements, adjust tooling, and mentor newer operators while running secondary operations when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years CNC turning experience.
• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and shop math skills.
• Able to operate hoists and cranes.
• Able to lift up to 38 lbs and handle large diameter vertical lathes a plus.
• Personal tools and willingness to buy tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate NC/CNC lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances and finish requirements.
• Work from routings, process sheets and blueprints. Use precision instruments to set-up and inspect work.
• Assist in establishing program requirements. Make machine adjustments to correct deviations from program specifications. Note and report program problems. Make adjustments to program where applicable.
• May recommend tooling arrangement, fixtures, operational sequences. Mount and secure tooling, align and secure fixtures, platens and work pieces. Help make set-up and instruct new or less qualified operators. Run secondary machine or auxiliary operations when applicable.
