Job summary

Top Prospect Group is seeking CNC Machinists for 2nd and 3rd shifts to operate EDM and CNC machinery onsite in Farmington, CT. Direct Hire with a competitive hourly rate and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, adjusting processes, inspecting parts, and maintaining documentation. The role requires a high school diploma and 4+ years in manufacturing, with experience in EDM/Makino Fast Hole or aerospace environments preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment recommended.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment required.
• Experience with EDM, Makino Fast Hole, or aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Strong machining fundamentals and desire to learn.
• Good listening and communication skills; verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies understanding.
• Attention to detail; self-starter.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Manufacturing ERPs (Job Boss).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EDM/CNC machines and related equipment per developed programs, fixtures and methods.
• Make edits and adjustments to meet blueprint specifications and work orders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of feeds, speeds and cutting tools for applicable operations.
• Inspect dimensional features and ensure quality per work requirements.
• Complete all paperwork related to counts, scrap and time accurately.
• Maintain workstation, equipment and tooling in good condition; follow maintenance sheets.
• Train and assist other employees as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and departments to resolve process issues.
• Adhere to OSHA, health, safety and environmental requirements.
