Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, Ogden Division is seeking a CNC Machinist to contribute to precision manufacturing. The role covers setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, measuring parts with calibrated tools, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications.

Candidates should have 1–3 years machining experience, strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills, and a safety- and quality-focused mindset. Training is provided in a fast-paced, aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Solid job history with 2+ years at a previous employer.
• 1–3 years of machinist experience required.
• Aerospace experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling and machining problems.
• Use of hand tools (grinders, belt sanders, band saws, drill presses) preferred.
• Willingness to learn new skills and comply with attendance.
• Ability to follow written instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a broad range of machining operations (milling, drilling, boring, sawing, tapping, grinding).
• Operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Use calibrated tools to verify parts meet specifications.
• Complete required paperwork and checklists.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers and quality personnel to resolve issues.
