Galaxy Technologies is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-axis CNC Haas machines to produce aerospace-grade aluminum components in a contract environment.

You will read blueprints, edit G-code, and adjust speeds and feeds to optimize performance, while ensuring precise tolerances and quality. Collaboration with engineering and QA teams is essential for on-time delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years CNC machining experience, including machine setup.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and setup documentation.
• Experience operating Haas machines with Fanuc controls.
• Basic knowledge of G-code and ability to edit programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Haas machines, including loading programs and executing machining operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and setup documents to determine machining requirements and tolerances.
• Perform basic program edits and adjust speeds and feeds to optimize machining performance.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Perform cleaning and deburring of finished parts to maintain quality standards.
• Operate multiple machines when required while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Track estimated versus actual hours to support workflow and efficiency improvements.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
