Job summary

Crux Manufacturing, based in Austin, TX, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate HAAS CNC machines and related tooling to produce precision components. You will read engineering drawings, analyze CAD/CAM files, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining quality and workflow efficiency.

Ideal candidates excel in GD&T, inspection practices, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with willingness to learn and continuously

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC Machinist in a shop environment.
• HAAS CNC machine controls experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of steel, aluminum, titanium machining properties.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical stamina to stand and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Analyze drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to plan and execute machining operations to tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance with specifications.
• Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to tooling, materials, setups.
• Collaborate with programmers and lead team members to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
