Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Machinist to join the team building components for the BE-4 engine's Turbo Valve assembly.

Based in Huntsville, AL, you will operate 5-axis CNC machines, program AgieCharmilles EDM, and ensure parts meet exact specs, working closely with engineers to transfer development into production.

Relocation assistance available. Shift B (3:00pm–1:30am) offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Proficient in CNC programming with UG/Esprit/Mastercam.
• Experience with AgieCharmilles EDM and CNC controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights.
• US citizenship, permanent resident, or refugee status.
• Passion for space mission.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including 5-axis mills, to produce precision parts.
• Program and set up AgieCharmilles EDM machines, ensuring specifications.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to meet tolerances.
• Assist in setup of new production areas, including layouts and tooling.
• Use multi-axis machining, turning, and grinding centers.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize work per schedules.
• Document and standardize production processes with engineering.
• Support smooth transition from development to production.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement for safety and efficiency.
