Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a CNC Machinist (levels 1 and 2) to join the Engines team in Huntsville. You will set up and operate CNC machines, program Edm machines, read drawings, and ensure tight tolerances for BE-3U engine components.

You will collaborate with engineering to transition from development to production, improve safety and efficiency, and support multiple shifts. Must be a US citizen or eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with trade school or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, focusing on CNC or EDM machining.
• Proficient in CNC programming using UG/Esprit/Mastercam.
• Experience with AgieCharmilles EDM machines or CNC controls (Okuma/Fanuc).
• Strong ability to read drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC machines, multi-axis lathes and mills for precision parts.
• Program and set up AgieCharmilles EDM machines per specs.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to meet tolerances.
• Assist in new production area setups and tooling configurations.
• Collaborate with leadership to align with production schedules and goals.
• Document and standardize production processes with engineering.
