Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a skilled Machinist to build components for the Turbo Valve assembly of the BE-4 engine. You will operate CNC machines, program EDMs, and work from complex drawings to meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in offline CNC programming (UG/Esprit/Mastercam).
• Experience with Agie Charmilles EDM machines.
• Read blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.
• Knowledge of heat treat, plating, coating, grinding.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible refugee.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including 5-axis mills.
• Program and set up Agie Charmilles EDM machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T.
• Assist in the setup of new production work areas.
• Utilize multi-axis machining, turning, and grinding centers.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize work based on production schedules.
• Work with engineering to document and standardize production processes.
• Facilitate transition from development to production with engineering.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
• Perform second-party verification of manufactured hardware and assist in production transition.
