Job description

The successful candidate will report to the Machining Supervisor and perform machining duties within the manufacturing environment.

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a CNC Machinist 3rd Shift to work at its state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.

The key responsibilities of this CNC Machinist include, but are not limited to:

1. Possessing knowledge in CNC machining and secondary equipment.
2. Assisting Production Supervisors with KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost).
3. Participating in and promoting Lean & 5S culture across the company.
4. Conducting "in-process" quality inspections and collaborating to ensure total quality.
5. Providing feedback to planning & engineering to optimize productivity.
6. Offering translation services for team members when needed.
7. Using correct gauging, hand measuring tools, and metrology equipment to ensure high-quality components.
8. Supporting preventative maintenance and reporting machine issues to the supervisor.

The Person

The key skills and qualities for a CNC Machinist at Amphenol Aerospace Operations include:

1. Minimum of 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC and related equipment.
2. Ability to read and interpret job layouts, blueprints, schematics, and follow written and verbal instructions.
3. Strong time management skills to support a productive work environment, including providing hourly production stats and implementing quick corrective actions.
4. Excellent attendance record.
5. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
6. Intermediate computer skills.
7. Ability to work on a busy manufacturing floor.
