Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a skilled Machinist III to lead complex CNC operations and optimize processes for lathes and milling. You will mentor junior staff, interpret blueprints with GD&T, and drive improvements with Engineering on new products.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of advanced machining experience, strong Fanuc/CNC programming skills, and a deep understanding of tooling and setup optimization. This on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement across manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification a plus.
• 5+ years of advanced machining experience.
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming (Fanuc a plus).
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup and operation of complex CNC and multi-axis machining centers.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and quality.
• Interpret advanced blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specs.
• Determine optimal machining methods, tooling strategies, and work holding solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex machining and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (cycle time, scrap reduction, standardization).
• Collaborate with Engineering on NPI and process validation.
• Train, mentor, and coach Machinist I and II employees.
• Support development of standard work, setup sheets, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.

Job Description:Job Summary:The Machinist III is a highly skilled technician who leads complex machining operations, including advanced CNC programming, setup optimization, and process improvement for Lathes and Milling.
