Job summary

ContiTech USA, Inc. is hiring for a CNC Machinist on the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) in Valparaiso, IN. The role covers operating CNC machines, labeling parts, stamping, and moving finished components within a climate-controlled environment, with safety as a priority.

The position requires 1+ year CNC experience, ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and 8-hour shifts. Overtime may be available, with a $2 shift differential for 2nd shift and total rewards benefits offered by ContiTech.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant CNC machining experience.
• Intermediate maintenance experience (CNC Machinist 2).
• Advanced experience with steel and aluminum, blueprint reading, machine programming, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machining equipment following a production schedule.
• Labeling parts accurately and stamping parts as needed.
• Moving finished parts to the proper areas and keeping the machine filled with coolant.
• Ensuring refractometer readings are within acceptable levels and monitoring oil reservoirs.
• Maintaining a clean workstation per 5S standards and training new employees.
• Programming and machining new fixtures and prototype parts.
