Job summary

Alabama Plate Cutting Company in Saginaw, AL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate milling machines, read blueprints, and maintain tight tolerances in a fast-paced shop. The second shift, Mon-Fri, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, offers a climate-controlled environment with modern CNC equipment, opportunities for growth, and comprehensive benefits.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of CNC machining experience, be proficient with calipers and micrometers, and hold a high school

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years operating CNC milling machines.
• Experience operating CNC lathes preferred.
• Experience with CNC programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or machining certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and prepare CNC milling machines for production.
• Operate CNC equipment while maintaining quality and production standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Identify and correct machining issues to maintain product quality.
• Document production activity and inspection results.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
