Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a 2nd shift position in Clackamas, OR. You will perform full machine setups, edit CNC programs, read blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances using various Haas, Hwacheon, Samsung, Hyundai‑Wia, and Doosan machines.

Responsibilities include setting speeds/feeds, inspecting parts with calipers/micrometers, troubleshooting issues with engineering, and maintaining setup documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing full machine setups in a production environment.
• Experience editing CNC programs at the machine using G and M code.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T fundamentals.
• Experience machining parts to tight tolerances.
• Not an entry-level position; prior production machining required.

Responsibilities

• Perform full machine setups, including fixtures, tooling, and offsets.
• Set speeds, feeds, and coolant flow while verifying first‑article quality.
• Read blueprints, routings, and specifications to maintain required tolerances.
• Edit and input CNC programs using G and M code.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers and micrometers.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues with production and engineering teams.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and tool grinding or sharpening.
• Create and maintain setup documentation.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and lifting devices as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
