Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems in York, PA is seeking a CNC Machinist (Journeyman) for 2nd shift to support Navy vessels with chilled water HVAC equipment. The role involves planning, laying out, fabricating, assembling and welding complex piping and pressure vessels, reading drawings, and working with ferrous and nonferrous metals.

You will use preset machines, monitor quality, perform tool changes, and maintain tooling. U.S.

Qualifications

• Reads shop prints, math formulas and tolerances.
• Knows NC/CNC machines and shop practices.
• Setup and operate tape-controlled milling/frilling machines.
• Able to work in varied positions with moderate physical effort.
• U.S. citizen; Journeyman certification required.

Responsibilities

• Use preset tools and precision instruments to prepare and machine parts.
• Work from drawings and process sheets to meet finishes and tolerances.
• Perform fixture change-overs and loading/unloading of production parts.
• Maintain tooling and monitor control messages for quality assurance.
• Support housekeeping and PM duties on machines.
