Stanley Black & Decker in Jackson, TN is seeking a CNC Production Machinist on the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3pm–1am). Starting pay is $24.27/hr plus a $1.50 shift differential.

You’ll load/unload materials, perform quality checks with calipers and micrometers, and keep multiple CNC machines running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 2 years related experience (Machinist 1 diploma preferred) and strong math, GD&T, and part print interpretation.

What You’ll Do As a CNC Machinist, you’ll be part of our team located in Jackson, TN. You’ll get to: Ability to properly load/unload materials and parts in a safe & efficient manner. Perform necessary quality checks of parts including the effective use of calipers, micrometers, and complex functional gauges. Perform operator PM of machinery including required lubrication & maintaining proper oil and coolant levels. Ability to maintain and operate multiple machines at a time. Self-sufficiency in operating complex machining equipment including start-up and shutdown, re-starts after stoppages, and problem-solving equipment processing issues. Self-sufficiency in product changeovers including CNC program modifications, cutting tool and holder selections, and part checking methods and procedures. Exhibit proficiency in basic shop skills including 5S and safety, obtaining & utilizing manufacturing documents, basic part print understanding, general gauging procedures, refractometer readings and coolant concentrations adjustments, general SPC station utilization, material scrap procedures, ISO guidelines, and productivity database utilization Demonstrate strong math skills and part print interpretation skills including tolerances, GD&T, materials and processes.
