Stanley Black & Decker in Hesston, KS is seeking a MIG Welder on 2nd shift (3:30pm-12:00am). The starting pay is $20.35 per hour plus a $2 shift differential, totaling $22.35/hour. You will assemble parts into welding jigs, read prints, operate the robot, and maintain a safe, clean work area.

• Technical Certification in welding.
• Preferred MIG welding experience and pass internal welding test.
• Ability to read blueprints, layout parts to print, weld to print.
• Knowledge of welding hazards and safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts into a welding jig and tack them per prints.
• Use grinders and finishing tools to ensure quality.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly per 5S and standards.
• Attend and participate in daily safety meetings.
• Operate, maintain, and inspect the welding robot.
• Focus on safety, quality, and achieving exact objectives.

What You’ll Do

As a Welder you’ll be part of our Production team located in Hesston, KS. You’ll get to:

• Assemble parts into a welding jig and tack them per prints, drawing, or instruction of supervisor. (Approx. 50%)
• Use various hand tools such as grinders, scrapers, or other types of finishing tools to ensure quality product. (Approx. 10%)
• Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Per 5S, and written standards posted by management. (Approx. 10%)
• Attend, and interact in all safety meetings every day. (Approx. 5%)
• Control operation of Robot, cleaning, and inspection. (Approx. 20%)
• Focus on safety, quality, and achievement of specific/exact objectives
