Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce metal parts.
• Perform setups according to instructions.
• Read and understand G and M code programs.
• Check parts during production with gauges.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
• Report non-conforming or defective materials immediately.
• Create or edit CNC programs as needed.
• Review programs for accuracy.
• Operate multiple machines or functions as required.
• Log time accurately into data collection software.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to safety standards and promote safety culture.
• Attend required training and meetings.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Less than 8 years' experience necessitates a technical diploma or associate degree in Machining or Journeyman certification. For 8+ years of experience, no additional education is required.
