Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis LLC in Ohio is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 2nd shift (evenings) to operate horizontal/vertical mills and lathes, set up jobs from blueprints, and ensure quality parts. Overtime and incentive compensation are available, with potential training on the 1st shift.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with CNC or manual machines, reading calipers and gauges, and maintaining tooling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with one or more of the following machine tools: Horizontal Mill, Horizontal Lathe, Vertical Mill and Vertical Turret Lathe.
• Experience with CNC and/or manual machine tools.
• Ability to read and use quality control tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math skills.
• Record labor hours with in-house tracking software.
• Maintain machine tools and equipment per daily schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Work with Toshiba and Mazak Vertical Turning Centers.
• Design set-ups based on blueprint requirements.

Description

The Parts Division of Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis LLC (MD&A) is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to work 2nd shift (evenings). MD&A offers a competitive base salary with significant opportunity for incentive compensation and overtime. Training on 1st shift (days) may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances utilizing math skills.
• Use in-house work tracking software to effectively capture labor hours on specific jobs.
• Maintain assigned machine tools & related equipment according to daily maintenance schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Work with Toshiba and Mazak Vertical Turning Centers.
• Design set-ups based on blueprint requirements.

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday, either 4PM – 3AM or 5PM – 4AM

If requested, overtime shift:

• Friday hours from 4PM – 12AM
• Saturday hours from 2PM – 10PM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with one or more of the following machine tools is required: Horizontal Mill, Horizontal Lathe, Vertical Mill and Vertical Turret Lathe.
• Experience with CNC and / or manual machine tools.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objectives.
• Ability to read and use related quality control tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators and gauges.
• Megaturn Vertical Turning Center, Toshiba TUE 200 Vertical Turning Center is a plus but not required.
• Have knowledge of shop math, metal properties, layout and machining procedures.
• Must be willing to work overtime during busy periods, as well as off shift work.
