Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC milling experience.
• Experience with 4-axis CNC machines and controls (Mazak/Hurco/DMG Mori) preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and process documentation.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools.
• Complete machine set-ups following detailed work instructions.
• Perform drilling, facing, threading, grinding, and broaching operations.
• Machine complex components to tight specifications.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation.

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining both manual and CNC machining equipment to produce precise, high-quality components. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a hands-on, technical environment with varied work and tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools, including 4-axis mills, 5-axis lathes, and 3-axis mills.
• Complete machine set-ups following detailed work instructions.
• Perform machining operations such as drilling, facing, threading, grinding, broaching, and keyway machining.
• Machine complex components to tight specifications while meeting production deadlines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, GD&T requirements, and process documentation.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineers, programmers, and team members to improve processes.
• Maintain daily machine logs, perform preventative maintenance, and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with tooling selection, sourcing, and inventory management.
• Support shop productivity goals while adhering to strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical/trade school training preferred.
• Minimum 5 Years Of CNC Milling Experience.
• Experience with 4-axis CNC machines and controls such as Mazak, Hurco, or DMG Mori preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of assemblies.
• Proficiency with precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn and train others in new processes.
