Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will operate semi-automatic CNC equipment, learn setups, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances using precise measuring tools.

The role requires basic math, ability to lift 25 pounds, and strong attention to detail. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of CNC machining experience and familiarity with grinding equipment such as Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, or Vollmer.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Preferred candidates have previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, Vollmer.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow directions.
• 1+ years of CNC Machining.

Aufgaben

• Operate and adjust semi-automatic CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations.
• Learn the set up process.
• Recognize tooling and procedures, adhering to tight tolerances.
• Follow detailed instructions, work from standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position work piece.
• Adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements.
• Work from part drawings and use required precision measuring instruments to check and inspect work. Recognize and report machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc.
• May assist with setups or proving of program.
• Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection.
• Follow safety regulations and keep a clean, orderly work area.
