Job summary

We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Summerville, SC location. The primary duties include setting up and operating NC/CNC and conventional machines to produce and repair components per drawings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, DoD clearance eligibility, and apprenticeship experience preferred. Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with potential shift premiums. Excellent benefits and compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets detailed part and tool drawings.
• Sets up and operates NC/CNC machines and conventional machines.
• Maintains and inspects machined parts to drawings and tolerances.
• Lifts and moves materials per safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed part and tool drawings; set up and operate NC/CNC machines including multi-axis, HBM, VTL, lathe, grinding, and hone tools.
• Operate bridge cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, and hand trucks for material handling and use computer systems.
• Follow procedures to perform machining functions: turn, mill, bore, groove, chamfer, profile, taper, tap, etc.
• Support development and routine machining operations for NC/CNC Mill/Turn, HBM, VTL, Horizontal Lathe equipment.
• Assist in startup of NC/CNC machines including Mill/Turn, HBM, VTL, Horizontal Lathe, multi-axis equipment.

We are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our Summerville, SC location.

Your Challenge:

Your primary function as a Machinist will be to set up and operate NC/CNC machines, as well as conventional machines to produce (and repair) a variety of finished and semi-finished components and assemblies. Assemble and disassemble machined parts and components using established manufacturing processes

Shifts Available:

1st Shift – 7:00am to 3:30 pm

2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm (With an additional shift premium)

3rd Shift – 11:00pm – 7:30 am (With an additional shift premium)

Hourly: $23-$33h

Your Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret detailed part and tool drawings. Set up and operate a variety of NC/CNC machines, including multi-axis machines, HBM, VTL, lathe, grinding, and hone machine tools with related tools, computers, and attachments, etc. utilizing all types and sizes of fixtures, attachments, gauges, precision measuring equipment, machinist's tools, etc.
• Operate bridge cranes, jib cranes, fork trucks, hand trucks, etc. for material handling, and computers and Manufacturing Systems.
• Follow established operational procedures to perform all machining functions such as turn, mill, bore, groove, chamfer, profile, taper, tap, etc. Hand or machine blending and finishing as required. Maintain drawing requirements including length, diameters, perpendicularity, parallelism, concentricity, etc.
• Support development and routine machining operations associated with NC/CNC Mill/Turn, HBM, VTL, Horizontal Lathe equipment.
• Assist in the startup of NC/CNC machines including Mill/Turn, HBM, VTL, Horizontal Lathe, multi-axis equipment.

What you Bring:

• Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
• High School graduate
• Completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent is an asset.
• CNC machines experience
• Ability to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level, and effectively communicate with others.
• Must demonstrate basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to assembly work and machining.
• Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting a distance of 10 feet.
