Job summary

Parker Hannifin is hiring a CNC Machinist for 1st shift in Michigan. The role focuses on operating machines safely, following production instructions, and making minor adjustments to maintain precision. You will troubleshoot equipment, document processes, and keep areas clean and compliant with 5S+Safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Machining experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD and CAM files.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing roles and priorities.
• Knowledge of machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer).

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions, operate machines safely and adjust settings.
• Perform minor machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain and monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance.
• Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
• Maintain standard production rates and low waste to meet customer requirements.
• Identify and replace broken tooling as needed.
• Contribute to High Performance Teams (HPTs) and lean Kaizen initiatives.
• Keep work area neat, clean and organized using 5S+Safety.
