S&C Electric Company is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to coordinate our machining functions. As a machinist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations in a production environment, supporting our diverse team through continuous machine tending.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deburring parts using hand tools such as scrapers and sanders, and power tools like belt sanders and drill presses.
• Using metal finishing equipment such as sand, vapor, and metal sprayers.
• Inspecting parts with instruments like calipers, tape measures, and inspection gauges.
• Handling lubricants including cutting oil, coolant, and grease.
• Changing dull cutting tools as needed.
• Completing courses at S&C Continuous Improvement Institute.

Qualifications needed:

• Ability to set up and operate metal cutting and finishing machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of measuring tools and shop math.

Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, bending, and reaching are frequent tasks.
