Experienced CNC Machinist - 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Join our team as an Experienced CNC Machinist at Laser Precision, LLC.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced CNC machinist to elevate our Machining department. The role involves setting up and operating high-end vertical mills and turning centers, mentoring team members, and contributing to our growth. The ideal candidate has 6-10+ years in production machining, with skills in setup, operation, and optimization of CNC equipment.

Job Details

1. Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, with overtime and Saturday work as needed.
2. Compensation: Competitive wages, benefits including health, dental, vision, bonuses, 401K, and other perks.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate vertical machine centers (3 & 5 axis) with high-pressure coolant and auto probing.
• Operate lathes with Y-axis, live tooling, high-pressure coolant, and bar feeders.
• Maximize equipment capabilities through effective use of live tool and Y-axis functions.
• Utilize high-pressure coolant to enhance machine and tool performance.
• Apply extensive tooling knowledge to improve productivity.
• Push equipment to achieve high productivity without compromising quality.
• Assist in training and developing team members to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Contribute to cycle time improvements and cost reduction activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with vertical machining centers and lathes, including high-pressure coolant and auto probing.
• Knowledge of tooling and maximizing tool capabilities.
• Familiarity with Haas controls (preferred), CMM tools (preferred), and Mastercam (preferred).
• Ability to mentor team members and assist management in process improvements.
• Physical ability to stand, reach, lift up to 35 lbs., and perform related duties.
• Additional qualifications: forklift experience, GDT/Blueprint reading, mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and attention to detail.
