Touchstone Advanced Composites, a subsidiary of Core Natural Resources, is a rapidly growing supplier of high-tech tools and composite parts to the aerospace, space, defense, and other industries. We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of CNC Machinist who enjoy hands-on work, attention to detail, and working in a team environment to produce high-quality products. This position will be responsible for the operation of a variety of CNC machine tools, including setting up and verifying tooling and setting part offsets.

Target Responsibilities

2. Use and apply precision measuring instruments such as calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
3. Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
4. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, inserts, accessories, and materials on machines.
5. Load parts, verify programs, operate controls, set offsets, perform simple program edits, and conduct initial inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances.
6. Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other team members regarding assignments and issues.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is well-maintained according to plans and procedures.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate precision measuring instruments.
• Minimum of two years of experience setting up 5-axis machines, such as Hass or Fanuc preferred.
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts, and accessories.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Good manual dexterity for working with small parts.
• Problem-solving skills for typical issues in own work area.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and identify efficiency improvements.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Availability for overtime and weekend work as required.
