Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 1st shift in New Carlisle, OH. You will set up, operate, and adjust CNC machinery to produce precision components according to specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Fusion software experience and Haas and Okuma machine experience, reads blueprints, and makes offsets to maintain quality. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with pay $30.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Fusion software experience is required.
• Experience with CNC machining and reading blueprints is required.
• Proficiency with Haas and Okuma CNC machines is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Able to set up, program offsets, and adjust tooling as needed.

CNC Machinist – 1st Shift

Pay: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC machinery to produce precision components according to specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Fusion software and CNC machining, along with experience operating Haas and Okuma machines . Strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience making machine adjustments are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts
• Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs as needed
• Use Fusion software for CNC programming and machining applications
• Operate and troubleshoot Haas and Okuma CNC machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling
• Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Identify tooling, programming, or machining issues and troubleshoot problems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a CNC Machinist
• Fusion software experience is required
• Haas CNC experience is required
• Okuma CNC experience is required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Ability to make machine offsets and adjustments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining issues
