Precision Starts Here: CNC Machinist - Weekend Shift

Hours & Pay


Pay Rate: $20-$24/hour (based on experience)


Schedule: Weekend Shift | Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM


Employment Type: Temp to Hire



Position Overview


In this role, you'll be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering specifications. If you thrive in a precision-driven environment and enjoy working on a wide variety of parts, this is the opportunity for you!



Key Responsibilities



  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to plan machining operations

  • Program and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or EDMs

  • Conduct first-run inspections and ensure machining operations meet tight tolerances

  • Use GD&T principles for quality measurement and inspection

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process malfunctions

  • Perform tool changes, reprogramming, and preventative maintenance

  • Maintain accurate records, communicate shift updates, and support a clean work environment

  • Contribute to LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards

What You Bring



  • 2-3 years of CNC machining experience or an associate degree from a technical college

  • Proficiency with interpreting technical drawings and using precision measuring tools

  • Strong understanding of mathematics, geometry, and machining parameters

  • Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment with minimal standardization

  • Forklift operation experience preferred

  • Commitment to craftsmanship, accuracy, and workplace safety



Physical Requirements


Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; Frequent use of hands, arms, and fine motor skills; Exposure to moderate to high noise and moving machinery.
