Job summary

DRT Holdings, LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Simpsonville, SC to operate and set up CNC Milling Centers (HMCs and VMCs). You will read blueprints, GD&T drawings, and program tooling changes to produce precision components meeting tight tolerances.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment, with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team. Day shift available with competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC Milling Machines (HMCs and VMCs).
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and technical specs.
• Experience with tooling selection, fixture setup, and precision inspection equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Milling Machines including HMCs and VMCs.
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, work offsets, and first-piece inspections.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; ensure parts meet specs.
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
• Conduct in-process inspections with precision instruments.
• Adjust tooling and programs to maintain quality and productivity.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor tool life and optimize machining processes.
• Document production and quality data accurately.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Are you a skilled CNC Machinist who takes pride in producing high-precision parts? We're looking for a motivated CNC Milling Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll work with advanced machining centers, tackle challenging projects, and play a direct role in producing complex components that meet demanding quality and performance standards.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC Milling Machines, including Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs)
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, work offset adjustments, and first-piece inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
• Manufacture precision-machined components to tight tolerances
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
• Make tooling and program adjustments to maintain quality, efficiency, and production targets
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and implement corrective actions
• Monitor tool life and identify opportunities to improve machining processes and cycle times
• Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Milling Machines, including HMCs and VMCs
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
• Experience with tooling selection, fixture setup, and precision inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Okuma, Makino, Mori Seiki, or similar control systems
• Multi-axis machining experience (4-axis and/or 5-axis)
• CNC programming and G-code editing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software
• Technical machining education, trade school, or apprenticeship training
