Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking experience Senior Machinists (Day and Swing Shift) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who enjoys working in a fast-paced job shop environment where no two days are the same. You will set up and operate large and medium-sized multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, producing prototype, one-off, and low-volume precision components for industries including aerospace, defense, energy, heavy equipment, naval vessels, and tooling. Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment.
• Machine prototype, one-off, and low-volume production components to precise specifications.
• Work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Verify dimensional accuracy and maintain tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and make program or setup adjustments as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop, prototype, R&D, or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong setup and operation experience on multi-axis CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team environment.
