Job Details
  • You will run CNC mills producing precision machined components for a premium U.S.-made consumer product line, with a defined path into setup, Mill/Turn lathe, horizontal machining, and eventually programming. This is a small shop with five CNC machines and manual equipment — no dealer support and no large team to lean on, so problem-solving and ownership are what move you forward here.
  • Run production cycles on CNC mills independently, keeping machines fed with stock and running efficiently through the shift
  • Swap and measure tooling, change tool offsets, and monitor for tool wear, chip load issues, and abnormal machine behavior
  • Perform in-process quality checks to blueprint using calipers, pin gauges, and micrometers
  • Troubleshoot basic alarms and stoppages, flag issues with programs or fixturing, and know when to elevate
  • Deburr, sand, and clean finished parts, and perform basic visual inspection before parts move to the next step
  • Handle basic preventive maintenance including way oil, coolant mixing and levels, and chip removal
  • Support general shop operations including cleanliness, material and stock organization, and scrap disposal
  • Grow into setup work, Mill/Turn lathe and horizontal machine operation, low-complexity manual engine lathe work, and programming as skills develop
Looking for
  • Able to run a Mills in production without direct guidance
  • Comfortable swapping tooling and setting tool offsets
  • Able to read blueprints and perform quality checks with calipers, pin gauges, and micrometers
  • Problem solver who takes ownership and wants more responsibility over time
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to adapt in a small, fast-paced shop
Experience in any of the following areas welcomed
  • HAAS control familiarity
  • Vertical or horizontal machining centers
  • Mill/Turn or CNC lathe operation
  • Manual engine lathe work
  • CNC setup and fixturing
  • CAM or G-code programming exposure
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Prototype and short-run machining alongside production
  • Deburring, sanding, polishing, or other finishing operations
  • Machining stainless steel, titanium, brass, or aluminum
