Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in the San Diego, CA area. You will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes, ensuring tight tolerances and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role offers 2nd and 3rd shift options, competitive hourly pay, and growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding team. Strong blueprint reading and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a similar CNC role and strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machine operation.
• Relevant qualification in machining/engineering is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to read complex blueprints and ensure precision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to understand product specifications.
• Program CNC machines with appropriate codes for accurate manufacturing.
• Operate CNC mills and lathes, adjust settings for optimal performance.
• Perform routine machine checks, identify faults, and conduct basic maintenance.
• Maintain high quality standards and comply with safety regulations.

We are a leading manufacturing company on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines, ensuring the highest level of quality and precision in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings to understand the specifications and requirements of the product.
• Programming CNC machines using appropriate codes to ensure the manufacturing process is carried out accurately and efficiently.
• Operating a variety of CNC machines including mills and lathes, adjusting settings as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
• Performing regular checks on machinery, identifying any faults or issues and carrying out basic maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborating with the wider team, including design and production staff, to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of products.
• Continually seeking ways to improve processes, reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of CNC programming codes, blueprint reading, mill operation, lathe operation, and CNC machine operation.
• A relevant qualification in a related field (e.g., machining, engineering, manufacturing) would be advantageous.
• Proven experience in operating a variety of CNC machines, with a strong understanding of their functions and maintenance requirements.
• Excellent technical skills, with the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• The ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines.
